# Third-party face detector

BeniSil uses @mediapipe/tasks-vision 1.1.1 and BlazeFace short-range float16 model version 1, distributed locally; no CDN request is needed by a visitor.

## Local modification, 2026-10-15

The bundled JavaScript telemetry transport class (Mh) is replaced with a disabled no-op transport: no periodic timer, no queued records, no network logging. The original 1.1.1 package attempts an odml.pa.googleapis.com telemetry request; CSP blocked it during testing. This local modification removes that attempt. Model inference is unchanged. Keep this modification when updating dependencies. The Content Security Policy also restricts connections to this site's origin.

The model is designed for short-range faces. Small, turned and covered faces may be missed. It does not recognize identity. Users must inspect exported images and add manual regions.
